Auditor / Treasurer
Shannon was appointed to the Interim Auditor/Treasurer position in June 2023. Typically the Auditor / Treasurer is an elected position and serves a four-year term. The Auditor / Treasurer serves as the chief election official for the county.
The Auditor / Treasurer Department handles the following:
- Collects assessments and delinquent taxes
- Computes taxes for real and personal property
- Manages the County’s investments and checking account
- Manages forfeiture of property for delinquent taxes
- Receives real estate tax payments
